We always rent a car just because the cabs can be hard to get during SEMA week and we like the freedom of being able to go where we want. After walking the show all day, the last thing I want to do is walk up and down the strip.

My sister lives in Vegas, so we usually go out for dinner away from the 'tourist' stuff. Last year we went to Target and bought a few cases of water because the Vegas water is kind of nasty and we would take a few bottles to the show with us each day. Having the car saves a lot of walking and waiting for cabs (and cab fare).

Parking at the show is kind of a pain. They charge $20 per day to park at the Hilton. :mad:

I'd be down for that...I'd love to see Team Illuminate perform! IMO they should have won that hands down, but o-well.


Most hotels have free shuttles to and from the show. I just took a cab if we needed to go somewhere to far to walk.

Well we booked our trip tonight. Some of the hotels were already booked one or more nights so we went with the Tropicana for $75 a night. The women wanted to be close to the main part of the strip and Circus Circus was too far down for them. We'll be there from the 30th to the 5th. :)

I asked the wife and she was so so on the idea. I'll ask her again tonight and see what she says. ;)

Any idea how much tickets are?

Not sure, but I'm out for seeing the performances. Installing a supercharger on the truck and the new fuel pump has been a nightmare (read: $$$) so ill just be doing SEMA and dinner, etc.

Yeah, the wife said she watched them on TV and doesn't want to pay to see them again. ;)
 
Ok, I was approved, now I just need to book my flight. i'll be arriving on the 28th, so I'm down for whatever. I'll be at Circus Circus

Myself Garry Dean and a few others are also staying at Circus Circus when Sema gets closer we will have to make a post on a time and place we can meet at the hotel ???
 
Im looking forward to coming, except for the 14hr flight from Australia..

Im staying at the Mirage, is that any good? Looking forward to meeting a Todd and a few of the guys.
