S100 SEC (shine enhancing cleanser), im ordering this soon, just curious about peoples opinions on this? i currently use S100 and love it! but would like to use the SEC prior to it. and can you layer the SEC like S100 wax?

Really good paint cleanser. Probably the best $9 I have spent. :xyxthumbs

No it is not layerable and if surface is properly prepped ( polished and / or SMR'd) once over will do the trick prior to topping with a protectant. :D

hey thanks, so for the full job, i would dawn, clay, SMR, SEC, then S100 correct

Sounds good to me except for the Dawn. Other than the fact that I'm not a fan of Dawn washes, your clay, SMR, SEC should certainly have any old wax removed that you might be concerned with.:)

I too would avoid the Dawn unless you are going to Zaino ( which you are not). I normally start with a wash if necessary and then start the prep. I alway use enough lube when I clay so streaking is not a problem, polish ( for deeper marring), SMR, GEPC, I sometimes add in a Mother's Sealer/Glaze step and than protect ( In my case EX followed by Souveran, P21S, and Super Shine). I also QD ( non-carnauba) after my polishing step prior to SMR'ing. This removes any microscopic polishing agents left on surface and also allows me to evaluate the finish.

If you feel you vehicle needs a wash during this prep just use your normal car shampoo. :wavey

where can you buy S100 SEC

Probably the same place you got your S100 wax. In my case, I purchased both from my local Harley dealer.

No doubt you will find several online sources for it as well.
