Seatbelts - cleaning out of the car

While the interior of my car is completely out, I would like to clean the seatbelts. I was thinking of, fully extending the belts, and using some sort of fabric cleaner, before reinstalling them in the vehicle. Can someone recommend a procedure and or product for this.

I must mention, all the interior parts of this vehicle stink.
 
I use oil eater for really dirty seatbelts , also optimum power clean works great. Dilute 1 to 4 parts water or use more as needed.

Scrub with stiff brush( (I use a denture brush) ,rinse and dry well with a towel. I put down towels underneath as it can get messy / drippy . It also helps to have a something stiff behind the seatbelt , I use a one of those kneeling pads for that.

Take extra caution from getting drips/splatter on leather . Also make sure to scrub both sides of the belt
 
I use a green scotch-brite pad for the seatbelts. It helps get both sides and eliminates the need for support behind. The tight weave requires a little extra dwell time and scrubbing. I often find myself doing a second round after it dries when I can see what didn't come out. I use a chip bag clip to keep the seatbelt from retracting. and work small sections at a time.
