My 97 Jeep Wrangler TJ drivers seat has split vinyl on the driver's bucket seat bottom. I installed some Iggee vinyl seat covers which fit and look very good. My problem is that the driver's seat split kinda shows through the new cover on the seat bottom. The seat back and passenger seat are perfect but the lower part of the driver's seat sort of wrinkles and bulges out right where your butt goes.
I want to tape or sew or glue some kind of durable repair on the original seat bottom to give me a smooth surface for the seat cover that will hold up for a long time.
If anyone has a suggestion please reply. Is there some kind of supertape or such that would hold up under the hot and cold and flexing that a drivers seat will experience?
