Seat Care

Have a two part question/comment for you all. I have a C230 Mercedes with Leather Inserts. I have had the car new for 4 months now. I thought it would be a good time to do a quick leather conditioning with Meguiars wipes. Now the seats are just inserts meaning the sides are like a vinyl or something.

1. What should i be cleaning the sides with. I basically just wiped down the middle part with the Meguiars. What should i be cleaning the sides with, something like 303?

2. The leather was soft before and kinda grabbed yo9ur butt :grinno: After the treatment the seats feel plastic and you kinda slide around. Mind you the seats arent wet or greasy it just feels plasticy.

Anyone else experience this?

I only use Lexol, its the best cleaning and conditioning product I have ever used. BMW dealers have it as there only leather cleaning product...but dont buy it there cuz thats just crazy markup :)

Another great one is called leatherique (sp) but its supposed to be a fantastic one as well.

These will both get rid of that slip slidy feeling. I know what your talking about though :woot:

What causes that slick feeling. One reason i liked the Maguiars is cause it was a quick application. I have perforated seats so i didnt really want to use a cream and get it in the holes. How is that product you describe.

Just rub in lexol...it really wont be a problem...I promiss. It gets in my m3 stiching and just goes away after a quick buff job of the seat ;)
