Beautification Specialist
Hello out there....

I'm an experienced Automotive Beautification Specialist with over 17 years of experience and currently seeking gainful employment in the southern CA area. I'm fully experienced with every aspect of the detailing business. I have detailed just about everything except a train (even detailed a Blimp, yes, a Blimp!!). If the opertunity ever arrise to detail a "4-8-8-4" sign me up!

I have done winning concourse vehicles at Pebble Beach, and used cars up to wazoo. I have worked with many major manufactures at the OEM level working with prototypes and pre-production vehicles. I am experienced in Management, Auto Shows, Car Washes, Marketing and Sales, Vehicle Advertising Prep, Special Event Services, Bookkeeping, Customer Service and Retention, and not at all afraid to get some wax under my nails and learn something new. Makes me feel old, but I remember when there wasn't such a thing as a "foam polishing pad" and even back then was able to maintain a "swirl free finish" on black.

I've worked with original paint surfaces from the 20's as well as rock hardened Imron. I've done training manuals for national companies as well as procedural process improvements for dealerships. I also am extremely computer literate, and have experience in Automotive Photography and Graphic Design. I am not looking for a "rag-pusher" position. If any of you out there are seeking someone such as myself, or know of someone... click here to send me an email. I would consider re-locating.

Serious inquiries only please.

Thanks,

Superior Shine has a thread going in the (car care product) section of detail city where he is asking for people with experience in so cal. Check it out. Hope you have a great stay and can still learn a trick or two.

Did you used to operate out of Scottsdale, Az? We used to have a really nice mobileoperatoin here that went by Dr. Detail. He really put a unique concept together, that a lot of people tried to copy. Welcome to the forum.

Wasn't me in AZ.

I have been a Southern California native since birth. There are many "Dr. Detail(s)" out there, and as much as I like to think I was, I might not be the first. I got that nick-name however, when a customer called me it sometime back in about 1986. He referred to me as his "detailing doctor" when I had successfully polished out the nostalgic magnesium five-spoke wheels on his open motor, fenderless Nostalgia-Rod (I think it was a '32 but I'm not sure). He was floored... never had anyone made them look like polished aluminum they were intended to mimick. Well not in 20+ years he had owned the thing. Oh, I digress and share the polishing merits of Crest with ya'll... tough enough for stainless, yet fine enough for Lexan*... not to mention a sparkling smile and winter-fresh breath. It still makes a great gentle polish for many things out there at a savings that not too many distributors can touch. ;) He also ended up with a trophy at a show.

Thus the name Dr. Detail has been with me ever since.
