Sealant layered over wax..hmmm

I have read that normally a wax can go over a sealant, such as nxt then a carnuba. But can a carnuba wax like mothers be put down first, then #20 or nxt? I already have the carnuba down....looking for longevity, but dont want to have to strip the carnuba. just an afterthought after reading some threads.

Not a good idea, as most of the sealants I've seen/heard directions on state that they need to be applied to a clean surface. Carnauba waxes might contain oils, fillers, or other substances that would hinder in the proper bonding of the sealant. It wouldn't hurt to try it, just don't be disappointed if the sealant does not last as long as you'd like. To form a good opinion of a product, it's usually best to follow the manufacturer's directions.

Most sealants will not adhere to the oils found in carnauba waxes. The best thing to do is apply a wax *OVER* the sealant. This will help to eliminate any bonding issues.

It'll work, but it'll seem like it's gone the next time you wash. I did EX over Natty's a couple times to hide a coupe swirls until I could polish. It didn't seem to last long.

91LS,
I think the Nattys would hide the swirl's better than the EX.

So how deos this work with hybrid product's like EX & polish w/C. Like if you put PWC down 1st for a AIO cleaner/polish and then apply EX or EXP which both contain polymers.

Yeah, I know-I did EX because I could use my PC and do it quickly. :)
