Sealant durability

I had never bothered with using sealants until my most recent order when I picked up some opti poliseal and poorboy's pure sealant. My question is, why am I seeing less than a month's durability? I get 5-6 months out of my dodo juice purple haze but I tried the poliseal on my girlfriends car and the poorboy's on my grandmothers car and they are gone after two weeks. The cars are parked outside in the same places all day, washed the same time and with the same supplies. I used carpro eraser before the poorboys and did an apc/dawn wash before both applications. Is there something I'm missing?

did you wash it and decide the stuff was gone? or did it rain and not bead?
if you did wash it with what? Both should have more

On the one with poliseal, I just clayed, on the poorboy's I used dodo juice supernatural on a white pad after claying. As for thinking it was dead, after washing them twice, the beads were still fine and the water sheeted off pretty well, now after a rain and a third wash, the water just lays flat, no beading nor any sheeting. And as for the wash, it was dodo juice born to be mild and meguiars shampoo plus

the poli seal has a cleaner/polish mixed with the sealant. i just checked mine on the shelf and it had separated out already from sitting for awhile. did you shake well, and what did you apply it with? (hand, rotary, da). sounds pretty unusual.

Sorry, I meant supernatural the micro polish (and used eraser after polishing), and the poli seal I did shake and it was applied with a green buff and shine pad on a rotary and with a rupes -15

I have personally found poli seal not to be super durable on its own. A boost with Optimum car wax really adds a lot to its durability. I can not comment on the PB product.

Not sure where you are located but a lot of the country is in Full pollen swing and that cat really play havoc on LSPs. So that is something to consider.

i usually get a couple months out of poli seal with no problem. beats me what the problem could be this time, but optimum stands behind their products and i'm sure they'd replace it or refund it if you're not happy. personally i have much better results with blackfire total polish and seal. even better when topped with bf crystal seal.

I loved the poliseal, and for a quick shine, it can't be beat (for the cost, effort and time it takes). I did notice the exp collected a lot of pollen before I could wash it, I didn't know if that effected the durability or what. I know this is a stupid question, but you do just leave sealants on until they haze right?

aio sealants like poli seal and bftpns are machine applied until they seem to disappear, then microfiber buff off. bf wet diamond can be wiped on and buffed off. bf crystal seal is the easiest to use, wipe on and walk away. optimum opti seal is another easy wipe on and walk away that would greatly enhance your poli seal if applied over top.
