Scratches on my console

I have a Acura and there are small scratches on my black dash. Is there anything I can do to make it less noticeable.

Also, I noticed a scratch on my Navi Screen and was wondering what would be safe to use on it if anything to remove that scratch...

For the dash, I'd suggest taking some pictures and posting. Perhaps a good cleaning and treatment with 303 would "hide" them, but I have my doubts. You didnt mention what your dash is made of...hard plastic, soft plastic, pleather..etc?!?

As for the screen, I hope for it to completely break and a warranty replacement, if ya know what I mean. That scratch aint coming out.

Thanks for the info guys.... Its a hard black plastic. Plastic polish would be my best bet right....

Do you think I can take it to Acura and get it covered under warranty...

Mr Zipps: Acura might cover something like the Navi Screen. However, for the trim, I think you are SOL with them.

My advice, Mother's polish is terrible. I tried it tonite on some lightly swirled plastic tails from my Integra. Like real light, barely noticeable unless under a Halogen light. So, I QD'd the tails and worked in some Mother's Plastic polish and it did nothing. I tried a different pad and used more force, nothing. I then used Gliptones Swirl Free Polish (fine cut) with a terry towel folded in 8ths and it took most of the light swirls out of the plastic.

If I'm not mistaken, the trim is shiny right? I would try some light cut polish first, then if nothing, try some DACP. Apply these both with a terry towel folded in 8ths (to disperse equal pressure). If you don't feel comfortable, I'd just order a new piece from Acura or try eBay.

Good Luck.

I have a 3.2TL and the black plstic has scratches in it to...never seen a plastic scratch so easily and how this one does scratch.

I am going to try some stuff on it come spring.
