Hi guys, any of you experience light scratches from claying the glass? The light scratches are too fine that it requires direct sun light to be seen.

I haven't. Make sure you are using enought lubricant and I would recommend cleaning the windows prior to claying.

I never got scratches from claying glass either. IMO they'd come from abrasive contamination getting caught in the clay and then being dragged across the glass. Glass (even today's automotive glass) is pretty hard and most detailing clay isn't all that abrasive. But today's auto glass is a *lot* softer than it used to be.

Thanks for the reply. From now, I will have a piece of clay dedicated for claying glass to avoid dragging the dirt over.

Werd.

Glass is VERY hard. No way just clay caused that. You must have been dragging hard contaminants over the glass (which means, you didn't do a very good job of washing the windows).

Peace.
