Scratches and chips (w/pics)

We just picked up an 03 Grand Cherokee Laredo with 40k on the clock. It's a nice SUV.

Here's a pic of it after I used the Klasse Concours Kit from properautocare.com:

The driver's side door area needs a little help. I have a few deep scratches on the upper part of the door, above the window:

With the driver's door open, you can see some damage that occured to the leading edge of the d-side rear passenger door. My best assumption is the previous owner used to get out with the seatbelt still partially on and allowed it to slap back into place. I know...ouch.

Luckily, you can't see most of that with the door shut. To most people, it's probably not even a big deal. However since I'm here with like minded people, it bothers me somewhat.

What's the best way to go about fixing this? The scratches may be able to be fixed wtih touchup, but I'm not 100% sure.

The chips seems boarderline respray to me. Are there small operations that can come to your house and fix something like that? Again, it seems too big of a job for the touch up bottle, but to small of a job to bring to an autobody shop.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Nice Jeep, looks brand new in the first pic. I'm interested in the answer as well, my wifes car has some similar dings in the door.

Sorry to bump an old thread. Someone recomended I get some Bondo "glaze". This will allow the chips to be filled in before applying the touch up. Once it gets warmer here in CT, I'll be taking on this project. :up
