Well it's the elk bowhunt here currently and although I try to keep my truck pretty clean, it is a truck and so it must do duty for hunting season. (plus an elk won't fit in the back of the wife's Scion Xa). I managed to take a wrong turn in the dark and ended up on a trail that went up a really steep off camber hill that a 1/3 of the way up turned into a trail only wide enough for a 4 wheeler. Unfortunately the incline made it to hard to back down so I had to finish the climb to turn around and come back down. Needless to say the truck got hammered by brush on both sides. About a month ago I had applied some BFWD, and then the day before I left I put another "insurance" coat of BFWD just in case. Really glad I did because I needed it. The truck needed to be buffed out, but I believe the BFWD kept the scuffs closer to the surface making it easier to correct. I used 105/ 205 with 6.5 LC flat pads orange and white. There were a few spots where I pulled out a purple Kompressor pad for the really bad stuff.
As a side note I did a little test w/ a combo of other stuff, the front fender and door I did with System 1. I was so impressed with how it finished that my second step I went right to Menenza Final Polish. I could not tell the difference in the panels between the Meguiars and the new combo.
I finished the entire truck with a coat of BFWD and then a coat of P21S 100% pure wax.
I only took pics of the passenger side as both sides were just as ugly..... here are the pics:
