Hi guys. I would like your help in possibly bailing me out of a stupid mistake I made today. I was cleaning out my garage and knocked a sharp object (#@&*%!!) into the side of my black 2004 Infiniti FX35, putting a foot-long scratch on the drivers side door and extending onto the rear door, too. It looks kinda deep, but it’s not too wide.
Is it possible to get some touchup paint, spray some into a cup and take a foam brush and apply it over the scratch? I would clean the area with Dawn to take off the wax, etc. first. Then wait a while and buff it out with a PC and polishing pads.
I feel like a clumsy idiot, but wanted to see what you guys thought (not about me being an idiot, about fixing the scratch). Thanks.
Jim
