Scratch X

Can I use Megs Scratch X with a PC? It doesn't say anything on it about machine use, only hand buffing. My wife's car hood has some pretty good scratches in it from the previous owner using some kind of abrasive pad. Sheesh. It's not through to the primer or metal though. Just through the clear coat and maybe the color coat.



And If I can use a buffer, which pad and what RPM?

Meguiars claimes Scratch X is for hand use only. That is the only way I have used it. It works good when it is worked in well before wiping off. But what you are describing, sounds too deep for this product.

i tried using it once, it seemed like it was telling me no.

I wouldn't use it with a machine it works very well by hand unless the scratches are too deep. My opinion is strat mild and work up to more agressive cleaners.
