Hey guys.
I did some scratch repair on my dad's golf buddy's 07 Toyota Camry and took some before and afters.
I started with a wash and clay using mother's cali yellow bar and the supplied lube, then got to work on the scratches:
Driver side rear bumper (golf shoes):
Wet sanded with 3M 2,000grit sand paper then used meg's fine cut w/orange 5.5" pad.
Driver side rear bumper after:
I didn't get the scratch furthest left completely removed, a little too deep, but I did minimize it's appearance.
Driver's door:
Same process as above.
Driver's door after:
Passenger 1/4:
This one wasn't bad, the PC with some Meg's fine cut on an orange 5.5" pad took it down. :2thumbs:
Passenger 1/4 after:
Right side of rear bumper:
Again, 3M 2,000grit wet sand followed by megs fine cut on orange 5.5" pad
As for the rest of the car, It' only has 22k on it so the paint wasn't bad at all and the owner was only concerned with the scratches so I just did a quick polish with Meg's #9 on a white foam 6.5" followed by Meg's synthetic sealant 2.0 w/ black 6.5" finishing bad, 2 coats.
Oh, and I used purple power degreaser w/ a stiff brush on the tires to clean and finished up with meg's hot shine tire foam applied with foam applicator.
Let me know what you think and what you would have done differently, TIA!
