Scratch removal with PC and SSR3

Greetings,

After reading, learning, and taking so much from these forums after the last months, I decided I wanted to share some recent experience. Not to brag, because I know I still have lots to learn, but more to show others the capabilities of some products. Many write on these forum that a rotary is needed for pain correction. Here are some results obtained with a PC and Poorboys SSR3.

Been doing some weekend-warrior neighborhood detailing for cash. A buddy asked me to do his wife's Explorer, which hadn't been waxed in over a year. No problem, then he asks if there is anything I can do about this scratch on his fender. It is small in area, but you can definately catch your fingernail on it in a few places.

Used SSR3, applied directly onto the fender surface

4" Orange Pad from TOL

PC on speed 5

Worked on edge/corner only of pad (not flat)

Maybe took 5-6 applications

After, did entire vehicle with SSR2/AIO/EX-P

The scratch is still there, also GREATLY diminished. You have to look at it from certain angles, really up close to see anything. You can't catch a nail or feel anything anymore.

I think it shows

1) the PC is capable of paint repairs, although in very small areas

2) the user-friendliness and effectiveness of the SSR products that an amateur like me can achieve decent results.

Hope the pictures are clear enough to show sufficient detail.

Thanks to all who have shared in the past - without it I wouldn't have learned all that I have.
