Those helpful Dads........
I went to visit my Dad the other day. He usually leaves the keys so I can move his car out of the garage so I can put mine there.....(for this he gets a total detail).
But this time....no keys. So I park my car behind his and go off for the day.
I return and get into the car and notice some crazy scatches all over the glass of the E420. You can really see them while using the wipers and while under streetlamps.
So I ask...."Hey, what happened to my windshield?"
Sheepishly my Dad answers. "I forgot to leave the keys and when got back from Tennis the birds crapped all over your windshield....but I wiped it off."
"With ....what????"
"A Scotchbrite pad....that's okay right?" He looked at me knowing it was already not "alright".
So what can I do short of replacing the windshield?
I have some fine white Pumice dust...but I am scared to get than anywhere near the car paint.
I also have a product called "No streek" glass polish.
What to do??
