fermani- there were a few deeper RIDS here and there, but those would have to have been sanded out and the owner didn't want to pay extra for sanding. which twisted wool pad are you talking about?
 
The problem is that PFW is a pretty light cutting pad for heavy defects. Pretty much any twisted or cutting wool pad (EDGE/LC/Schlegal/3M/Hi-Buff) will work better and quicker than PFW for heavy work. I like PG for removing light wet sanding marks, but something stronger like EC is the ticket for this job. Every time using PG, I find myself having to do multiple passes to cut down the defects, where as a straight compound is more predictable.



What body shop did the repair??? Vista BMW?
