Scartches on wheels?

I recently got my wheels and tires balanced. Well when I was washing the wheels yesterday their are scores where the old weight used to be, they're not bad but they are noticeable. Is this normal is it impossible to get those weights on or off without scratching the wheel? I was kinda , so if this is normal I guess I can deal with it!

Find a tire shop who will place the weights on the inner side of the rims.

It kind of depends on the wheel. A regular steel wheel, well, they won't care much. If you have nice alloys, then you can usually get the sticky weights instead. You are still not gauranteed to be scratch free. It all depends on the tech doing the job, and how much they really care.

That's why I get the stick on weights, cost's more but man do they avoid that eye sore that the hammer on weights leave.
