Saying Goodby to a Friend

I received a phone call a short while ago from a policeman friend who was interested in purchasing my 69 Mustang. He confirmed that he was going to buy it from me. The monies from the sale will help us in our move to Sarasota, and the new job that awaits me there at PAC. The wife and I are really excited about the fresh start and I'm also looking forward in helping PAC to grow better in any way I can.

It is a bitter/sweet thing in selling the Stang. I wish I could take her with me, but I'm really glad that the purchaser is equally as excited in ownership. He told me if I ever get back to the area, she was mine for a day. I know that it is in good hands. I had better not get any tickets before I leave!:lmfao

Haven't had much time to spend here lately. It has been really hectic with getting ready for the move and all. Sorry I don't have any more pics to share, most of them were on my old computer which crashed about 5 months ago. This is the only one I have on my new computer. I'll try to get some more before he comes to get her. Take care.

that's really sad:boohoo good thing Natty didn't see this thread:drool Again good luck on the move and the less you take the easier it will be...:) I'm sure it's getting a good home:cool

She's a Beaut! Good luck moving in the next couple weeks, and PAC will definitely be a better place with you there!

Thanks, evryone for the kind words. Although it is hard letting go, it is much easier knowing that she's going to a good home. I offered to give her a complete detail, but he said that he waned to do it himself. It is raining here today so I couldn't get any pictures. I will get some more tommorow before he claims delivery, if I'm able to.

Natty and I had a short talk after I joined DC about the 69, so I know what you are referring to. I'll miss this one.

I can show a couple of pictures ot detailing work that I sent Dwayne. This first one is of a 1998 Mazda B4000 pick-up that I have detailed for the last 4 years. It has 130,xxx miles on it. The majority of the work was done when he bought it 4 years ago. The rest has just been maintenance.

This one is of his wife's 03 Highlander. It was purchased as a demo from a salesman. Had more scratches that I care to remember. It was more of a charcoal grey than black, when I got it.

It was buffed with the Menzerna IP and a cutting pad at 1600 rpm. Then I used the IP and a polishing pad at 1300 rpm with the Menzerna IP. Then the FP with a fnishing pad at 1000 rpm, all with a rotary. I then used a finishing pad and the Klasse with the PC at 4. All topped with the Trade Secret wax. Sorry I don't have any before pics.

OUCH!! That really sucks!! Talk about a sweet car. Its no bitchin camaro, but it is close. I can't think of anything that was made in '69 that wasn't absolutely awesome. How much did you sell it for?
