Looks excellent and an amazing turnaround :D

I have a 07 Steel Grey the same as that, although it only has a few minor marks on it but needs its first polish soon... Can I confirm your polish choice as you said 85 RD to start, so I assume you mean 85 RD 3.02, then followed by the 106FA?

thanks

Will wetsanding do anything for scratches that are down to the primer?

It will help hide them because you're taking the sharp edge off the scratch, but you'll still be able to see it if you look for it.

thanks - I did a test on the front wing a couple of weeks ago, and megs #80 on a Menz polishing pad brought it up 100%, so I hope I can use this for the entire car in the spring :D

Tony,

Brilliant work! Most of the driving public have no idea how much effort and skill is required to produce results like that! What a transformation. I can assume the post sanding part was performed with a rotary? After using polishing compound with my PC and the Yellow Sonus pad no way could I have gotten that much correction done.

Great Work! The reflection shots are awesome!:up

About the wetsanding...I don't know of anyone else has ever tried this but I have started using some touch up "Clear coat" to fill in some of the more major scratches where my fingernail catches. I then wetsand it smooth and so far have gotten awesome results. I'll post more on this when I have done a couple more cars of differing colors to see if the color makes any difference. This way you are basically adding clear and then removing very little instead of removing alot so to speak in order to smooth out the deeper scratches?
