Sam's Club MF's

Has anyone here tried these? I'm no expert on microfibers, but I really like these qualitywise and pricewise. You get a pack of 24 16" by 16" MF's for $9.88. They're pretty thick and seem soft enough. I haven't done the "CD test" with one yet, but they don't seem like they'd scratch anything. They hold quite a bit of water too, so you can use them to dry a car off in a pinch. I was just wondering what some other opinions were from anyone who's used them.

I use them and really like them, and I have never seen them scratch any surface before. I use them for exterior and interior. I have never done the CD test either. They are cheap and last along time. I don't see any reason to buy the expensive microfibers when these do just as good. They work well for me. JMO

I use them for everything but paint work. OK, I'll use them on dealership cars paint. And no, I have not had them scratch paint.

I use these also. I bought these with the idea of making them my under door , utility towels. I have since used these quite a bit for all steps. I have some megs ultimate wipes for finish paint on my car and everyone else gets the sam's clubtowels LOL.

If you've never had them scratch paint, why wouldn't you use them on paint work for everything? Is there another drawback to them? Like AutoHealer said, I don't see any reason to spend more for MF's if I don't have to, but I don't want to use the wrong "tool" for the job either.

I have a bunch of super plush ones from a vendor not on this site. When I do multiple polishing steps, I'll use them. If I'm doing a 1 step AIO, I'll use a dedicated MF from Sams.
