Sales Person & Rancher Ford Expedition (Picture Heavy)

Hmmmmm...... How do I explain this????

This was a rough one. This lady is a traveling salesperson and also a rancher who has over 10,000 cattle. She uses her vehicle year around 7 days a week. She also smokes 2 packs of cigarettes a day.

There was not only cattle poop all over her floors, but there was over a years worth of dirt and dust in every crevice of her vehicle. You can tell what the interior looked like by the picture of the steering wheel.

The exterior was even worse. She only takes her car to automatic car washes to clean it. There were carwash brush scratches beat into her paint. it had mud and dirt caked everywhere and all of her rubber was oxidized.

Her poor car was in need of some serious help.

Here is a breakdown of what I used:

Wheels & Wheel Wells

Amazing Roll Off -- tires and wheel wells

Meguiar's Wheel Brightener -- wheels

Meguiar's Hyper Dressing -- tires (light coat)

Griot's Undercarriage Spray -- wheel wells

Wash

Dawn Dishwashing Soap

Engine

Amazing Roll Off

Dressed with 303 Aerospace Protectant

Carpets & Upholstery

Folex -- spot treatment

Woolite 10:1 -- Cleaning

Bissell

Leather

Clean -- Woolite 10:1

Condition -- Leather CPR

Interior and Door Jams

Meguiars APC+ 4:1

Plastic treated with 303

Odoban (smell on inside of car)

Alcohol & Water 50/50 for windows

Also treated all of the rubber seals with 303 Protectant

Paint

Meguiars 105 w/ Orange CCS pad -- 2 coats

Meguiars 205 w/Orange CCS pad -- 2 coats

Klasse AIO w/White CCS pad -- 2 coats

Collinite 845 w/Grey CCS pad -- 2 coats

Thank you!!! That means a lot coming from you guys. I need the support. I just got started doing this as a part-time career. :bigups

You're welcome. Looks like you are on the right track! Keep up the good work! :spot

Yes, that is a big vehicle..The EL version is over a foot longer (and IMO easier to clean the interior). Great job on the PITA Ford paint:goodjob!

I like the way you got the carpets cleaned as many have stated the Ford carpets suck.

Just wondering why you didn't go with a white pad+M205. I see that you used the orange pad on both the applications of M105 and M205. Any particular reason?

She looks fantastic man, I cant believe the turn around!

hey 11-12 hours really isn't bad if you think about how dirty it was. I mean after all some people can easily spend that on the paint correction process. Thing was a battle zone and a tank at that too!

Very nice results. I hope the owner now knows to maybe take a little better care of her car. Please tell me you didn't charge her like $150 LoL.

You know, I started with M205 and an orange pad. It wasn't cutting it. So I started another orange pad with the M105. When I got to the M205 step, I already had the orange pad started, so I finished with that.

I just learned from Accumulator http://www.autopia.org/forum/member.php?u=3178 that if you use a milder pad it brings up the gloss. That would have probably saved me a step later...... Thank you Accumulator!!! :bow

I should have used a white pad..... Now I know!

Yes, I was always under the impression that it's M105/Orange-M205/white

Excellent turnaround, that vehicle was extremely dirty. However, I do give the lady credit for using her truck like a truck

Are you saying he should of charged more or less then 150? That seems pretty fair for what he did to the truck.
