Safety of Meguiar's Hot Rims?

I was wondering if anyone has any long term experience with the Meguiar's Hot Rims wheel cleaner. I did a search, but came up with little information regarding its effectiveness, acidity, etc. I have used the P21S spray but find it a bit overpriced. My wheels are clearcoated. Thanks.

I have been using this stuff for a while. My Boyd's wheels on my truck are not clear coated and this was the only spray cleaner I found that is safe for polished aluminum wheels. This should testify to its safety.

I also use it on painted, clear coated wheels and it does a great job. After some really spirited driving, the caked on break dust needs a little motivation to get it all off, but this is a great cleaner. Just a spray, a little help, and a wipe with a MF should impress.

I have never used P21S, but I think the price is too high as well. Hot Rims is only $3.99 on sale at Checker (Shuck's - Kragen).

I have just recently bought non cleared wheels, polished aluminum. I'll have to try the "hot rims". How often do you need to polish your rims? Will using the "hot rims" remove the labors of polishing and dull the rims?

Thanks.

I think Hot Rims is very abrasive? :nixweiss

I bought several bottles. They work great but I don't use them anymore since Zaino is still on the rims and spraying that stuff will remove the Zaino.
