Hey gang,
Sad story here, maybe you can help. I got married recently and my cousins decided to shoe polish the windows of my 2003 Saab 93. It was raining at the time, so it ran down everywhere and dried. Now I've read the shoe polish is safe, but we had a hell of a time scrubbing it off the windows. And when we did, it just turned into little flakes that washed down and sealed themselves to the paint. The entire car is now speckled white (it's bright red) and the specs are difficult to remove with a finger nail, not to mention impossible with sponge and soap.
I tried using Mother's Clay Bar to remove the specs. It made the paint feel very smooth, but didn't touch the specs of shoe polish. So I figure the only option is buffing it out. However, I am in no way an experienced detailer and don't have the proper equipment or skills.
So I'm looking for recommendations of a pro-detailer in the Cleveland, OH area. Or at the very least, some intelligent questions I should ask a detailer before I let them attempt to fix the paint job. Does anyone know how to get rid of this stuff, or know where I can go for help?
Thanks,
Greg
