Ack! Hold me back! Sig... too.... long....! Must send....PM....! No... Must restrain myself. Breathe... whew!! That was a close one!

Just out of curiosity, are you using Z5 to cover the swirls you already have, or are you saying that you have already removed them?

Nope still have swirls.. I put two coats on of Z2 and looks great from about 5 feet but look up close and Im seeing swirls and small marks.. and its brand new.. ERR black paint!

And I have heard great things about s100 wet look with zaino but never used?

hehe my sig!

Ok, use the Z5 to help with very light swirls. It will take several coats to acomplish. In doubt ask Sal Zaino yourself!

One other point Sal does make is the problems of "topping" Zaino. The oils used in waxes have an effect of trying to break through Zaino to get to the paint. His advise is not to do it as it will break bonding in time. Think if Zaino as a chain link fence, yes it's strong, but it can be penitrated by the oils as they try to migrate to the paint.

Anyway, it looks so nice when topped with carnuba, but use at your own risk.

Ask Sal if you are in doubt on any of this information.

One other point Sal makes, which is very important. After polishing your finish, WASH the car to strip the oils used in all polishes. Then you can bond Zaino to paint. A step I also did not do after polishing. Lesson leaned. Thanks Sal!

It's your paint and your eyes to satisfy, so top or not it's up to you, but if Sal had his way, there would be no carnuba.

Deanski
