What are the effects of s100 wax on black trim? It seems to buff out nice on the black trim i got it on. Are there any ill effects over time of having wax on black trim?

No problems that *I'VE* encountered. None from Souveran either, BTW. I've even used them on rubber and textured plastic (yeah, that's supposed to be a BIG :nono ) with great results.

Why would you want to? You can probably do a lot of things to your black trim that don't show any bad results right away. There is protectant made specificly for your black trim for a reason though. Plastic and rubber needs different care than metal and paint. "Use the right tool for the job" is my motto. I would look into using something that was meant for your trim.

I agree with you. I'm just asking 'cause sometime you end up getting the wax on parts you don't mean to. What's a good protecant for exterior trim?

No argument here, this is another area where I'm an "Autopian heretic" :p and I'm not saying that ANYONE ELSE should do as I do on this one. Just another topic where we can say "to each his own".

But FWIW (saw that "BUT.." coming, huh?), I've been doing this on the XJS for 18 years with nothing but great results (as in, like new, soft and pliable, etc.). Why do it? On my beaters, it's just easier to do the whole vehicle with the same product. On my "good cars", like the Jag, the ERV dressing used to transfer to my car cover, which then transferred it to the paint/glass/chrome. Also, I didn't like the way it ran in the rain (back when the Jag got rained on). Haven't ever kept the other vehicles I do/did this to for more than 10 years or so; we'll see. So far so good.

Heh heh, visions of Jngrbrdman thinking "that Accumulator is a real [insert pejorative word here]" ;)

Mantic6t9 - If you DO get the P21S on your trim, wipe it off quickly. I now recall someone having staining issues when they waited until after it had dried for a long time.

I went a place called West Marine and bought a bottle of 303. It cost me $15.25 with tax for the 16oz bottle. It is cheaper to order it? I'm betting not much after you factor in shipping. They also had the 32oz bottle for $21.xx.
