S100 over-hyped?

I'm really happy with S100 -- very easy to apply, good looking, feels good, smells good, great shine. But I also realize that -- like any wax -- it's not going to be as durable as a sealant (SG, Zaino, etc.). And, personally, I didn't think it added much "zing" on top of my Zaino on the white car.

Totally agree Lynn, I just dont think S100 is what its hyped to be...But like Brian said, you could get by with using just the Carnauba process, but I think for client cars, they deserve a little more durability than S100 has to offer....Personal cars its great, because you CAN reapply every 3 weeks or so.....

Most of our clients who have been using 26 and GC pretty much became instant converts when I offer then S100... No streaks ever...

After washing the car today because of a short rain spout, I've got some new opinions of the visuals of S100. I can tell it's a deeper shine than just pure Z5 now, however it looses a noticable amount of clarity when topped with Z5. The beading is amazing! Whenever I first used Zaino, I was impressed with the beading. The S100 impresses me even more for beading action. I think I'll keep topping the Z5 with S100 for a month or a so and then strip the S100 and start with a few layers of Z2 and see how I like that.

Can you just top s100 over Z5, over and over again, without problems ? and how do you remove S100 ? Dawn wash ? I'm guessing since Z is a ploymer it is not removed with the dawn wash..right?

I have 3 coats of Z2 and 1 Z5 now, was thinking about topping it off wit s100 also.

I love S100 and am nearly at the bottom of the can.

I use it either (like Lynn) as a glaze topper - IHG + S100 or as a top coat over the UPP on my Blazer.

Ive found it super-simple to use with no removal, streaking or smearing issues.

It also doesnt mind being used in bright sunlight, where I found #26 to be murder if you leave it on in the heat.

It does the 'DACP thing' and welds itself to the paint.

:(

My fault for not following the instructions I spose!

S100 is a little more forgiving in that respect.
