This past Sunday I was able to do a fairly quick detail on my Jetta. I finished up around 9, so i went to the gas station to snap some pics.

I did the following:

1. Dawn Wash

2. Clayed the week before hand

3. 3M-SMR

4. S100 Paste Wax

I plan on using a sealant like Klasse this summer, then topping it off with S100 to give it depth and pop. I will take daytime pics the next time I wash my car. The S100 seemed to highlight the pearl chips in the paint and make it look blue-er/brighter. Overall I am pleased with the results mainly because there isn't a single swirl on the car now!:xyxthumbs

I love the look of a clean car without tints...i just make it seem much cleaner. :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs

What pad did you use the SMR with? Did you use a PC?

Sweet! I have the same car (but VR6 17" wheels) in Green. I had an option to get that color but opted for the green. I liked the tan interior on the Green compared to the Blue.

My full detail is coming Memorial Day weekend. She has serious swirls from the car wash since I couldn't wash it myself in the 5 degree NJ winter! I'll have pics then. Hopefully with similar shine!!

Nice work!

Thanks for the replies; unfortunately, it might be a week before I get daytime pics of her when clean again. It's supposed to rain 9 of the next 10 days here!:(

I used CMA's yellow cutting pad with the SMR.
