S100 on 1995 E320

Thought I'd share my latest detail with you all. I had previously applied Zaino on the vehicle, but I didn't do as thorough a job in removing the swirls on some areas of the car as I would have liked. So I redid the whole car. Here is my process:

Dawn wash the car.

Polished the trunklid with 3M FI II with PC & white LC pad (Did not need clay)

Polished entire car with S100 Shine Enhancing Lotion with PC & white LC pad.

Applied S100 on entire car except roof.

Applied AIO + SG x 2 on roof.

Black Again on all rubber trim

I decided to apply the Klasse twins on the roof because it's a seldom looked at area and I wanted something durable on it. The car is my mom's and it's been kept in the garage since she purchased it ten years ago. I've taken exceptional care of it since she moved in with me seven years ago. That's why there's no before pictures of it even though the car is ten years old.:)

My overall impressions of S100 so far has been disappointing. After reading that it's the same as P21s and seeing how well P21s fared in GuruReports, I was ready to be overwhelmed by it. So far, I have to say it doesn't look any better than when I had the 3M paste wax on it. It was a whole lot easier to apply and remove than any carnauba I've used so far. I guess my eyes aren't as discriminating as other autopians.:D

I'm surprised you feel that way. It's still one of my best boutique waxes I own and far better imho than 3M. You have to just gently apply a thin layer and I prefer to use GEPC before the LSP.

I did use the S100 Shine Enhancing Cleanser. Isn't that the same as GEPC? I do like the cleanser a lot. I've used it on my own car before and it left a nice shine while removing/covering most of the swirl marks.

shouldn't the AIO SG come on before the S100? I always thought it was sealant THEN the carnauba to top it

I put AIO and then SG on the roof only. I put S100 everywhere else. I didn't put S100 on top of the roof because I wanted the roof to be more durable. I also wanted to keep adding SG on the roof.:)

I've never used S100 on Black, but I know a lot of people who love it for lighter colors prefer Souveran or others for black. The GEPC is the equivalent of the Shine Enhancing Cleanser.

Yeah, been living in Oviedo since '92 and love it. Not quite the sleepy little town it was back then, but it's still a nice place to live. Where abouts are you building?

But back on topic, I have Z-2 topped with S100. I noticed a little more depth but not sure if it's enough to warrant the additional work. Since I have it I'll use it up and maybe try something else. Since the S100 lasts only about a month, I'll go through it pretty quick.

Live Oaks.

Have you tried Z2Pro yet? I never tried Z2, but I keep reading that Z2Pro is so much better in every way.

Is your color about the same as the E320?

Nice area. My brother in law built his home there last year.

Have not tried the pro yet. I have a bottle but am waiting for Zaino's SMR to come out. Then I'll try out both. It'll be time for clay and so on anyway.

Good luck with your new home. Nice to know there's an Autopian in the area. Wouldn't mind comparing notes sometime.
