I'm new to this forum. I have a Q that I hope you guys can help. In the past year I have been using Meguiars #7 followed by #26. I found them to be very easy to use. I am convinced ( from the threads I have read) that I want to try S100 carnuba Wax & S100 Shine enhancing cleaner. Should I try to remove the #26 and then go for the S100 cleaner then the S100 wax. I have a titanium (silver) truck. The condition of the paint is great. Do I need the S100 SECleaner?
I would use the paint cleanser as a way to prep the surface. Then just use the applicator from S100 to apply the wax in a linear motion back and forth like the air flows over your truck.
Do small sections and buff out before it hazes completely. I find the PakShak MF ultra fines are superb for this but any quality MF will do the trick. Actually I use a midgrade MF and then final buff is with the PakShak ultrafine or David's Autopia CBT.
You may also want to "clay" the vehicle for the best possible results. Autopia has a great article on this if you want a tutorial. Also visit www.bettercarcare.com if you have not already...
Best of luck...this wax is awesome on silver cars! :xyxthumbs
:xyxthumbs Well . .bought the S100 SEC & carnuba wax. The results were unbelievable. I would say it out did the Meg 7 & 26. I washed the truck the night before & started the next day with S100 SEC then 1 coat of S100 Carnuba. It took approx 8 full hours to do it. That included all the inside areas. I was thinking of putting a second coat on, but it was easier to opt for a pain killer. Do i need 2 coats of Wax.
