S100 Impurities

I just wrote a review of S100 and realized no one else has ever mentioned the small black particulate in this wax. I first noticed my foam pad had little black spots on it and when you look in the jar of wax you can see the particles.

Does anyone else note this or do I have a bad batch of wax....or worse yet ...am I just seeing spots?

Are you sure the black spots aren't coming off your car? I often get a fair amount of this stuff when I'm waxing because the foam pad scrapes off stuff stuck to the paint, almost like how clay does.

I just checked, and my S100 is pure ivory goodness....

Take a knife or something and scrape off a tiny bit of the surface to see if you really have black bits throughout the wax.

I am pretty sure the little black spots come from minor degredation of the supplied foam pad. I picked a few out and that is what they seemed to be. Once I switched to the Meguiars foam hand pad, no more little black spots.

Good point, I never used the included foam pad and have used a yellow Megs hand pad from day 1.

I also believe the black bits are part of the foam pad that came with the wax. It is of very low quality and if you keep in in the jar with the wax, I noticed that after a while, the wax will degrade the pad to where it almosts comes apart in your hand. I also use separate yellow foam pads and aways wash then after each use. They last longer that way.
