S100 Hardness

Quick and easy question. I used my S100 today for the first time. I opened the jar and it was almost hard as a rock. Is it supposed to be that hard? I could wipe my applicator on it and cover the applicator with a thin coat of S100 and apply it ok. It looks nice on the car, though.:xyxthumbs

I was hoping that was the case. I had never seen a paste that hard before. It works great though. COmes off easy!

yup...it's definitely that firm...i agree, it's the hardest carnauba i've ever used also...but on the same token, it's my most favorite...i'm sure you love the ease of application and removal...

Yup its great stuff

Just a warning though,

i waxed my car last night in work and its that easy to put on that i was walking around the car with the container in my hand, applying paste to the applicater as neccessary, and as i reached for the lower door panels i leaned over and the WHOLE contents fell out and fell onto the floor!!!! luckily it landed on the plastic bag i keep my cloths in so didnt attract any dirt, WOW that would have been a total waste of product.

has anyone else had this happen to them or am i the only idiot around here? :o :o

:wavey Idiot number two over here! It does seem to get awfully loose in the jar after a few applications. I lost half a jar that way.

I waxed yesterday with my S100--the contents now "spin" in the jar as I wipe--so I knew that it could easily pop right out. I placed my hand over the top and turned the jar over--would have fallen right to the ground. Note to self--hold S100 very carefully:eek:

I read somewhere (can't remember the source), that S100/P21S works well when slightly warmed in the microwave. (I have not tried it) I wonder if it starts to spin in the container or get loose, warming it up a little would soften it up enough to settle back into the curvature of the container. It may be worth a try. However, will it hurt the wax in any way?

It could hurt it and also release petroleum vapors into the air (microwave) if you heat it too much or too quickly. Anyone who's heated up oily food in the microwave will know the danger I speak of. Be careful or maybe try something like sitting it in a warm water bath and slowly crank up the heat.
