Actually, I don't like one that comes with the jar. The grey seems to come apart and leave tiny bits in the paste. Now I can't tell if the applicator picked up some debris an deposited it in the jar or if it's just grey foam flecks!!!

Definitely, a foam pad is better !

I used the included songe until it began to disintegrate

and leave specks in the wax, like others have noted.

I liked that pad, though.

Now, it's a Meguiar's yellow foam pad.

I love the includes pad so much that I also use it for my Souveran applications. I wish this type of pad could be purchased as a stand alone product.

ive gone through four jars of S100 and have used only the little grey pad that comes with them and have not had it ever fleck...i actualy like the little pad quite a bit. I second Z28's wish to be able to buy these as a stand alone product.

i havent tried using the one which comes with the jar? i use a foam pad instead, the small grey one seems like it wouldnt last long?

I use the little yellow pad that comes with BF PP. It's a mini meguiars yellow pad.

I think Pinnacle yellow pads and terry pads are great as well.

Those pads look like they have some cutting action on them compared to Meg yellow hand pads.

That's amazing how two users of both products come to completely opposite conclusions. :nixweiss No right answer, just what works best for you and achieve the excellent end results.:xyxthumbs

I find the yellow pads great for items like P21S GEPC, VM and 3M IHG because I find more of a "cutting" effect which decreases as product is worked into finish ( Used PC for P21S GEPC this weekend and will never perform this task again by hand). The black sponge pad just glades across surface.:wavey

anybody uses with Viking Applicator Pads (with handle) from autozone, k-mart? I just purchased two of them but feels it'll scratch the paint..

I used them in the past for Zaino applications. They were great for applying a very thin coat. When ZFX was introduced I could no longer use them because they would not clean completely ( to my liking). I still use them for polishing and SMR'ing tight places where a PC is clumsy.:wavey

I didn't even know that little gray thing was an applicator. I thought it was some useless piece of foam like the cotton you get in pill bottles. I didn't even consider it as an applicator. I use the yellow foam pads. That one in the jar seemed to me that it would fall apart to quickly. I like my yellow ones anyway.

The Meguiar's yellow foam applicator pads seem to do the job a lot better. I'm able to spread the wax more evenly and thinly with these pads.

:lol It's funny you say this because I wrapped mine in cellophane and use it as a seal to sit over the wax and prevent the top from turning white (drying out).
