I washed my car with QEW. I don't think I dried it completely because my WW towel was starting to get moist and "load up". So there might have been a little bit of QEW left, but I figured that it didn't matter because it's diluted 1 oz per gallon anyway. Then I waxed over it with S100. The application went smoothly over areas that had UPP underneath. It felt somewhat crunchy and rough over areas that were last waxed about 3 months ago. (I might have even heard static crackling).
As soon as I finished the S100 application, it started to get dark, and moisture was condensing on my car. (Is this bad?) What I saw in the moisture were wipe marks and patterns that looked like waterspots. Thus I think that whatever the QEW left behind or etched, neither the S100 itself nor it's application can take out. Maybe next time I will mist the car with distilled water or a QD before waxing, since I don't want to seal in these spots.
I don't remember UPP or Medallion PPP having this problem, probably due to their higher solvent content.
