Thanks Barry! I really wish I would have brought my camera and lenses to phtograph all the tiny details that we had done, but I didn't want to worry about my equipment the whole trip. I wish we would have taken more pics of better befores/after, but we were on a strict time schedule and things had to get done.

The shower story was the funniest part of the trip...I never laughed so hard in my life.:LOLOL:LOLOL:LOLOL:LOLOL:LOLOL Todd is a riot!!!!

And Todd is nowhere to be found on the boards...:har:

Now I have to ask after reading the Buddy stories - was there a camera crew around?? hmmmmm??:funnypost

Ryan - The only thing that is important is the $$$$$ you made. All the other stuff is just fluff. It will not get you a free month of rent. :werd::werd::werd:

Probably the best detailing thread I have ever read/seen in terms of the work done and the cars that it was done to. Amazing!

Thanks!!! When we were there we had no intentions at all of doing a write up because of all the work that had to be done and no time to take pictures. The pictures we had were only just random shots and we made a small thread from those.

If we had actually had the time to document all the before and after pics, then it would have been amazing.:sadpace:

Thanks Thomas!

The money was great, but being chosen to have the opportunity to perfect these amazing machines of classic art was a true honor.

Having such an intelligent and highly trained great crew with a side of humor made everything work out perfect with ease.

Call it fluff or whatever it may be to you, but all the stories I have lodged into my head from this amazing trip will be some of the best work memories I will have to tell.

Money only lasts till it's spent, but the funny stories that I have to remember and tell will last a lifetime.... Priceless!!:bigups:bigups:bigups:bigups:bigups

This is the most amazing thread ever. There is not another Click N Brag anywhere that can even remotely compare to this one. You guys did the most amazing work on the most amazing car collection.

Just when the haters bragged that this trip would never happen again. I hope they're happy with mud on their faces now.

Can't wait for the sequel to this incredible adventure......

So true Ryan, so true.

Maybe for some its all about the money, but detailers like Todd and yourself have a great passion for the craft. There is no fluff in that.

FLUFF - all the hype like it was a brain surgery. Making a movie? LOL.

We are detailers. And all full time detailers do it for only one reason. MONEY.

We are just lucky that we love what we do for a living.:bestwish:bestwish:bestwish

Hmmmm, I don't recall anywhere in the thread where money was discussed, hinted to or even bragged about by the author? It must bother some that Ryan & Todd made more in these 10 days than any other Detailer would in 6 months. This thread isn't about fluff, it's about sharing their ACCOMPLISHMENT with the world. I guess others are jealous of that too? Probably why they're sulking in a pool of negativity after they insisted that this trip would never happen in the 1st place. :nono:bawling: and start :bow or else you'll be :dig

Sorry Thomas this is the heart of the subject where we will disagree. The full time detailers that I converse with have a great passion for detailing.

The money is secondary to me and I know them as well. IMO detailing is an art and should be treated as such. Its such a shame that this industry rewards those those who don't have a passion. I have spent untold hours conversing with great detailers like Ryan about passion that it takes to create the master pieces shown in his thread.

For me its not luck, its a choice to do something that I am passionate about.

I guess if your sole motive for detailing is $$, then you really lack passion. Money is a result/byproduct of being passionate & successful.

I don't think you can truly be an autopian detailer, and just do this for the money. Most detailers here are passionate, and deliver way more than the client expects, and often do way more than what is required, just because we are OCD. If I put 10 hours into a detail, and the client is paying for 10...but I see that I can make a big difference by spending an additional 2 hours, I'll just do it.
