Rupes foam pads vs Lake Country

In need of some new mild cut and a finishing foam pads.  I have an orange LC and white LC (CCS pads), but i ran across rupes on autogeek.

Can anyone compare the two brands at all, in the foam department?

Can't compare those two, but you might want to take a look at Buff & Shine flat pads (same as Uber and HD Pads).   Very durable and everyone who has tried them has ditched their LC pads.   Autoality.com carries them with free shipping if your order is over $25 and under 5 lbs--easy to do with pads.

can you guys elaborate a bit more on buff and shine pads? what makes them good, their cutting ability? and finish down time?

i'm sanding with 2k grit.

using hd cut, and adapt.

B&S (and HD pads which are the same) are durable--never saw a post anywhere of velcro detaching from the foam.

They are simple--just one line of pads-no need to try to sort out which one to go with or if you want dimples or no dimples.

The velcro is recessed so I feel allot more comfortable when working next to protruding structures.

The yellow, orange and white are firm Euro foam so cut well, but finish very well.   The green, blue and black are softer pads so great on softer paint and finish extremely well.

The red is also Euro foam, but soft with very dense cells with no cut so it's great for applying LSPs which don't soak into the pad.

The Velcro is 4 7/8" which I believe is exactly the same demension as the Rupes 5" backing plate so a nice fit with easy centering.

buff and shine are great pads...hands down

but on a rupes, i like to use the rupes pads...they work very well with the large throw of the rupes machine
