Rupes 21 problems...

To avoid disappointment ............................ go with the ORIGINAL source of knowledge, not the "Kopy Kat" ME2 source. It's amazing to me some in this industry can show their face out in the open.

The total lack of respect for the craft is sickening.

<ul>[*]I have to throw my support into the Kevin Brown camp. He has helped me out countless times and gone above and beyond when it comes to customer service.

Thanks, guys!!  I REALLY appreciate that so many of you constantly recommend me.

I keep it in mind ALL the time, constantly reminding myself the way I'd want to be treated if I was looking for assistance.

Rupes has finally made an agreement with an authorized repair center: 1800toolrepair.com. However, in most cases the fix is something simple, such as an electrical cord fray, or in the case of this thread, a broken connection.  The only real problematic component has been a short run of electronic control modules (the module loses its ability to accurately read the magnet that is attached to rear of the motor shaft).   So far, Rupes has covered every single one under warranty.

No machine is perfect, but Rupes has done a fine job of backing me up with a no-haggle warranty policy.  I anticipate losing the ability to handle most warranty claims, but I'm going to try continue to be authorized to handle some claims, primarily from guys that have purchased from me (I keep a trio of 21's out in constant "loan" status to assist when a guy has to have a machine fixed).

Thanks again!!

The things I could add............................ forgot to mention Phil @ Detailers Domain is good peeps as well, survey says guys know the deal and nobody is fooled at all.

Seriously, no need Bob or Bryan,

Todd is another source to get things resolved for someone out in that area, which is why I posted it (in case someone in or around OHIO is in the same or similar situation)

If you have a problem with him, dont drag it into other thread that have NOTHING to do with personal issues.  You guys are making the thread take a detour...

Thank you!  Happy Detailing!

No kidding! He even knew exactly what was wrong with it. This guy knows his stuff.

Glad to know that this is working out for you. I'd have to say that Kevin knows these machines better then most.  Kevin eats, breathes and sleeps these tools and has even developed a way to make them better (washer mod). After all, he is the one that single handedly brought this tool to the US detailing market. That goes a long way in my book of credentials.

I can also say nothing but good things about Mr. Brown! Had a huge job polishing a lexan windshield out a few months ago. Contacted Kevin on paper and speeds, not only did he get me tons of paper but he gave a Mirka sander to loan for the BIG job! Also he gave me multiple calls (most of which were during the weekend) to make things were going well! Customer support like this is rare these days! It carries allot of weight with me, I will not forget this!

Although Kevin is all the way out in California, I can attest that his shipping is still extremely fast to this part of the country; I've had multiple positive experiences dealing with him, and he is a true class act.
