Rubbermaid bucket w/grit guard at TARGET

Oh really? the guard actally float? I haven't getting a chance to play with mine yet. Maybe this weekend I give a shot. I wonder what if you tie a 2oz sinker on the guard :nixweiss would that help?

I have the same issue with my EO bucket with a grit guard. It's fine until you move it and then the sloshing water floats it. I think I'm going to superglue a couple little tabs above it so it can still be removed, but will stay down.

I had the same problem with that bucket, but with the rubbermaid I have had no such issue.

I have the EO bucket and don't have any problems with the GG floating .:nixweiss

I picked up one of the Rubbermaid buckets yesterday at SuperTarget. I didn't realize until I got home that they didn't charge me for the detail tray. Hopefully, there won't be too much bad karma coming my way.

AutoNova, thanks for posting the pics. I'll find my camera someday. :)

Yep those hooks hold the handle when it's folded and the attachement points are all the way back toward the wheels.

When you check out put the caddy in the bucket and most likely they won't even notice and just charge you for the bucket.

i just couldnt bring myself to doing what AutoNova suggested.

So I got two buckets...maybe tomorrow if the need arises I will get at least one of those caddy's, although I am hard pressed to figure out what I would put in it...they are rather small...maybe some Adams QD and dry MF towels ?

I bought the caddy without thinking about it. I thought it hangs on the side but it actually hangs inside the bucket, I don't like that very much. It's too easy to get it wet when returning the mitt to the bucket.

Yeah I did the "put it together" thing just to see how it would look when I went to target before -- when I saw that I said "no thanks."

I'm seriously thinking I may go pick up a pair of these so I KNOW I have a good setup.... these would especially come in handy with my QEW wash method. For regular washing I don't even use 2 buckets -- I use the hose to rinse off the wash mitt and the car between swipes in the clean suds. :)

I'm digging you the old thread because I just got Four of these bucket two for me and to for sean. I like them and I'm thinking sean will also.. Any reports on how they are holding up????

My handle keeps falling off -- other than that I like it.

Mine is still serving my needs quite well. When I am "mobile" I use the meguiars ultimate bucket because it has a top and I can store all of my bottles inside (plus the side compartments are super handy), but at home the Rubbermaid bucket is all that I use. I have actually learned how to control the bucket and now I can actually move it around the car with one hand.

No problems with my handle falling off..

sorry to bring up this old thread.... does anyone have any issues with this. i may pick one up, rather than pay $10 for just a grit guard alone.
