Rubbermaid bucket w/grit guard at TARGET

I saw the new CarWares line - some of the detailing brushes are very nicely designed as well. I may try the duster soon.

I have not tried it with water in it but with some other items loaded in it that I picked up from Target yesterday. It seemed fine to me, but I have yet to use it with the dismal weather around here.

:rofl at the SRT-4 comment :)

Do you know if they are stackable? I would consider this, but only If I could stack the two (you know how it is with limited trunk space ;) ).

Nice find. I saw this at Target myself too but I already have my other Target 5 gal. bucket and the 5 gal. bucket from HD with GG. If I need another bucket, I suppose I could buy it but I think I'll need more than wheels.

Yes they are stackable. I just bought one at Target ($9.99). They had three nested there. Looks like each additional bucket would add 2 or three inches to the height of the first bucket.

The handle design is actually pretty good. It slides in a slot as mentioned. Toward the center of the bucket there is a vertical notch in the slot so that the handle stays in the center of gravity of the bucket. Toward the wheels there is another vertical slot. You have to lay the handle back toward the wheels and rotate the handle into the slot. This locks the handle so that the it does not rotate and forms a rigid upright handle to pull the bucket.

I was suprised to find that I could carry 4 gallons of water with no problem. The bucket did not flex much and the handle stayed put in the center vertical slot. The handle did not work so well when locked in the vertical position. I could not tip the bucket back on the wheels with 4 gallons of water in the bucket. However it did work fine with 3 gallons of water.

Also, if you decide to buy one, look at the tray that fits in the bucket. It costs another $4, so I took the plunge. It sits securely on top of the bucket and has a lip that slips over the back of the bucket to hold it in place. It provides two compartments for supplies.

I just got it today, I'm guessing the slotted area is to hang your wet mitt or cloth??

I also got the tire swipe thing, I tried it today real quick and it seems a bit cumbersome to use. It's pretty big but I'm gonna give it another shot this Friday.

No, they actually don't, somethign else keeps it from falling over, I checked it out today. Looks like theyre just random hooks I guess...maybe to hangy our mitts?

Well as I suspected while using this bucket the other day the guard does not stay down when you fill it with water, I don't why it is so hard for these companies to make a good grit guard bucket. I'll just use it for wheels and the caddie is helpful to put brushes in.

Oh really? the guard actally float? I haven't getting a chance to play with mine yet. Maybe this weekend I give a shot. I wonder what if you tie a 2oz sinker on the guard :nixweiss would that help?

Really? Mine does not float at all. :nixweiss I remove the grit guard to mix the soap, then replace after the bucket is filled. It has not floated on me at all.
