Rubbermaid bucket w/grit guard at TARGET

well.... just bought one (along with the caddy) and will test it out this weekend :D

p.s. by the way... what's the little vents in the back of the bucket for?

I have been trying the two I bought for 6 months plus now and would agree with some others that the handle sucks unless you use it carefully so that the wieht of the water in the bucket doesn't wrench it off. I think I will go with the handleless method and pull it by the front lip of bucket and the wheels. The grit guard is perfect and that little vented side holder is great for holding the mitt out off the water or holding my detailing brushes, like the little horsehair toothbrush on I use to give a swipe to the body sidemolding edges while washing.

i just used mine and that is the worst/weak part of it. it doesn't shift smoothly back and forth (each side has popped out a time or two, and i'm surprised it hasn't broke due to the thin plastic housing in between) and i may just go back to the good ole' standard five gallon w/ the grit guard.... on a side note : i found the back part of the bucket has a ventilated section where i can squeeze and press the sheepskin mitt into, to drain the excess water without having to twist it by hand normally :up

Just wanted to bump this thread to let everyone know that the bucket is still being used and is holding up just fine.

I don't even use the handle now, just pull it around by the front. Works just fine, I would definitely purchase another....

What section of target is this product placed? I looked al around the Auto/Vroom stuff and also checked out the section with the mops and buckets with all the cleaners, but I still couln't find these suckers. Loved the SRT-4 comment, BTW! :)

Thanks,

Pete

Pete-

The buckets were at my local Target (automotive section, bottom shelf as products transition from the Vroom items to the OTC cleaners, waxes, etc.) when this thread was started. I looked at them and was impressed, but decided to wait a few weeks to get one. My mistake--I haven't seen the buckets there since and don't see an empty spot or tag on the shelf for them.

I saw this bucket a few months ago at Target, but I was gettig ready to move and I figured why buy it then just to have one more thing to pack, I'd buy it once I got here. Well, wouldn't it figure that none of the Targets I've been to here, at least 3 or 4, have it. I'm going to see my dad at a get-together on the 4th and he lives near the first Target, so i asked him to pick one up and bring it with him.

Wow I didn't see the bucket at my local target today (maybe I just didn't notice them). Looks good though!

I'm satisfied with my $1.50 5 gallon buckets from Wal-Mart, which I lay right on top of my rack when heading out to the car.

I got it at IKEA for $22 total when it was on sale early summer. Now that I'm getting in more products I wish I had bought the 6 rack storage unit instead of the 4.

It's called Antonius I believe.

Might not be on sale anymore. Weird how Houston IKEA is finally having it's twice a year sale soon.

I also was looking for this at Target but couldn't find it. So, I went on Amazon to take a look. Low and behold, it was there! It's being sold by Amazon for 10.99. Not bad, considering there is no tax involved. Also, if you have Amazon Prime, you get the shipping for free. If you don't have Amazon Prime but buy over $25, then free shipping.

On Amazon it says the item hasn't been released yet. I've been waiting for it this whole time not knowing that Target sold it.

I saw the buckets at Target in March and April, right before I moved and I didn't want one more thing to pack so I waited until late April after the move. Lo and behold, none of the Targets around here have it and when I called my dad to check at the one where I'd seen it before, they don't have it anymore, either. I'm bummed, it looked like a great thing to pick up. :(

i have one of these and don't care for it (i prefer a 5 gallon white bucket and grit guard so i can monitor the dirt, etc). if someone on here lives near me, i would trade it for close to nothing...

And where is "near you". Your location is listed as "over there". :chuckle:
