Hey guys I have some rubber streaks that I just can't seem to rub off my boat. I tried using some Goo Gone but it didn't do anything. I have a picture below, I hope it helps a little. Any suggestions would be awesome. Thanks.

Try Greased lightning full strength and brush vigorously, or get a bottle of black streak remover, can`t really recommend a particular brand this stuff works, or get some acetone. Watch out for the acetone, it will kick butt but it will kick your butt if not careful. Very flammable and don`t let it get on your skin.

I wonder how well Amazing Roll Off will fair in this situation. It's a speciality cleaner marketed primarily to boaters.

Have you tried a cleaner wax with some abrasive in it?
If it were mine, I would probably try some Meguair's DACP or any of several swirl removers. A piece of old terry cloth towel should provide a little bite to help a swirl remover that might not be as abrasive as the DACP.

Ok I think I'm going to go get a bottle of some black streak remover.

I have already tried some swirl remover. This stuff is on there pretty good. I will keep you guys posted.

yea i would try some 3m restorer and wax or some med compound.. and just keepin workin it with a cottan applictor...usally most stuff will come out this way. if not after u apply it take the rotary to it...u can grind on it while you put some pressure on it...otherwise...i hate to say it but take a razor blade to it and SLOWLY scrape it off (if it had any depth to it, like catch ur finger nail on it) try not to angle the blade.. just take it straight on with the boat so u scape it off layer by layer untill the cleaner wax can get the rest of it. u dont want to dig or qouge the surface so just scape away.
....if u have a rotary most or all scratches will come out..

If you do not already, regularly inspect that plastic thru-hull fitting for cracks since it is in a perfect position for frequent impact.

yea that stuff works good but dang i hate using that stong a chemical but if u have tried everything give it a try....just make sure its not in the water when u do it...cuz i dont think its very friendly to the water or ur health.
