Rubber smearing, any suggestions?

Hi,

I have a Volvo S40. When I clean my windows using microfiber cloth, I always get the cloth smeared with black rubber (you know the black rubber that goes around glass). I guess S40 has crappy rubber around the windows, but can I do something to fix it and make it not-smeary? I also think when cloth gets smeared, it probably doesn't clean glass so well.

So, do you guys know any ways to fix it? Maybe any special products to impregnate into rubber? Any advices greatly appreciable.

In my case if the rubber is real hot it smears. you could try taping it off and then wiping the glass. you could try mothers back to black on the rubber or a good cleaner like simple green on it to to clean it up. and yes the MF's probbaly will not clean glass well if they are dirty with stuff in them that smudge. just my two cents.

I'm afraid that rubber can't be cleaned up, I think it is like alloy of smearing rubber (not like some layer of dirt on the surface), so it probably can't be cleaned of, the best option I think would be to coat it with some kind of special primer or something similar. That's why I'm asking in the formus, I thought maybe you guys had such problems so you know any product's etc.
