RSX Type S - Can you say wet?

Hey guys, did Jackie's car a few weeks ago and it came out great. Thanks again Jackie for you and your mom being so nice

This was not a full paint correction just a good cleanup with some protection.

Process was:

Wash

Clay

OPS via orange pad PC @ speed 6

RMG via white pad PC @ speed 5

#26 by hand

Tires with Extreme X-Dressing

Looks really nice! At first I thought it was an Acura but then I saw the H. :D

it is an Acura, putting Honda badges on it in place of the Acura ones is a ricer thing I think... Someone please correct me if I am wrong

This one doesn't look ricer to me, but I do think it's a JDM thing.

Nice work on the car OP.

the badges are a jdm thing, as the stuffed animal on the dash domo kan? something around there anyways. There is no acura in japan so its the honda nsx and such as opposed to the acura nsx

the back of the wheels are still dirty because i didnt touch them. These are not her wheels so she said don't even bother. Plus we were pressing for time. As for the Honda badges, its JDM thing. This car is not ricy at all, so if you think that you don't know what rice is. Anyways, thanks for the comments.

The detail looks pretty good. I'm curious as to why you didn't step up to a more abrassive polish. While you removed a lot, there's clearly still defects that could have been taken out by replacing OPS with an actual polish.

Regarding the Honda badges.......label it what you want but I think it's silly. I really fail to see the fascination with pretending your car is something it's not (i.e. from Japan).

nice of you to do a little bit extra and do a light polish on there to bring back some of the depth and gloss in the paint when all you were supposed to do was wash/wax!

way to go!

The owner probably didn't want full correction.

Sure replacing badges may be silly but when it comes down to it, Acura is really Honda. Look at all the glass and other miscellaneous components that comprise of the car. Parts from everywhere but assembled in the U.S.

Toyota has Lexus; Nissan has Infiniti; etc. It's all marketing.

uhh... i thought honda/acura were from japan?? jdm is ok when not taken to an extreme for my preference. but every body's boat floats at a different water line

We didn't have time to do multiple steps of polishing. The owner and I decided this is what we were going to do for now. I will be doing the car later when we are both free with a full paint correction. Considering what I did to the car, I would say it looks alot better in terms of correction. Poli-seal with orange pad is a nice 1 step. Thats thanks to the soft Acura/Honda paint.

If anything I would say they they are badging the car to it's true identity:

Although since it is a USDM model I think it still looks better with the Acura badges on there because the Type-S is still there. I would be inclined to say the RSX is a re-badged Honda Integra with the steering wheel on the wrong side, and not vice versa, so really I don't see too much wrong with putting a Honda badge on there.

Nice work on the job though!
