I've used Clay Magic in the past (with good results) but now can't find it. How does Mother's compare ?

Thanks

A recent thread said that Autozone was selling Clay Magic in a kit with 100gm bar and 12oz lubricant for $10.

Mothers gets more slimy and does not feel the same in the hands.

Buy CM online at their store. I forget linky thingy but a search should find it.

I saw it yesterday at AutoZone. Definitely the best on the market, even though their waxes aren't that great.

The Mother's bar is too plasticky, Meguiars consumer version is too weak and their Body Shop version is overkill for most imbedded imperfections (plus it is super sticky).

BTW, Clay Magic's parent company is suing Mothers over their clay bar.

I bought Clay Magic kit at Auto Zone for $9.99- thanks olivher:up

It looks like they will have it in most of their stores soon.

That is great news since it's cheaper and better than Mother's kit.

due to this post, i just drove 40 mins to the nearest autozone. picked up the Clay Magic (the cashier even said " I heard these things works GREAT!).

I also got 2 viking foam applicator and also a california duster.

too bad it's gonna rain all weekend :(

cant wait to start using the products.

wow autozone sells clay magic now?? awesome! i really hope they have it here in so california. its weird because my local autozones around here are VERY inconsistant with the products they carry. out of 5 autozones i have to go to, only 2 had the big black viking foam applicators. and for the normal viking foam terry covered foam applicators, some sell them sealed in plastic while some sell them wraped around in a sort of a tape label. do any of you guys experience similar problems with your auto zones?

i really really hope my local autozone caries clay magic. i have never tried them before.

Many thanks to this thread. Just went to Autozone and picked up the only box on the shelf of Clay Magic. --$ 9.99!!

Just FYI, I guess not all autozones are carrying clay magic yet. None of them in Tulsa, OK are anyway.

Can someone tell me the size of the autozone bars? I would sure like to see if the ones my paint suppliers are carrying are larger or not.

Oh, I get it! Sorry, thought you couldn't find an Autozone! I misread.

I searched for a store that I know has it . . .

Perhaps someone a bit closer to you will respond ;).

NG Luder, I'm in your area and I've experienced similar things with the Autozones around here. However, the one in Echo Park (Alvarado and Glendale Blvd Intersection) seems to be pretty big and has most of the stuff talked about here.
