Your personal Route 66 pictures. Some of my favorite pictures where of things that just weren`t going to be there much longer. Knowing photos help document those things, because they may not be there next time I go by.

Coleroad- Hey, cool pix, thanks for sharing them!

Sigh...didn`t have a camera back when I drove (the SW part of) it back in `82, but it was part of a "Big Adventure" experience for me.
 
I`d love to see some of the original portions of the Great Road like that. In my area, Route 66 is also I-44 or the frontage road running alongside the Interstate. Scenic country in places, but not too terribly interesting otherwise.
 
The bad part is too much stuff like this. Defacing original art, and buildings.

Mail delivery for the whole little town along rout 66 in a very remote western part of Arizona. You can see all the houses in the background of the mailboxes.

Ah, some of those pix really take me back!

Never saw the statue in Winslow, must`ve arrived after I passed through, or else I missed it.
