Rotting Vette in front of abandoned house...Why?

It's a shame this car will probably never see the street again.
Anyone know the year?
It looks like the center caps were already stolen. Why would they leave it behind?

It's been there quite a while. There are signs on the windows now. Maybe I'll see what they are dated tonight.
If anyone else is interested I can let you know the address. Not sure what it would cost to restore something like that.

My guess is a foreclosure and a car that doesn't run. Where I live if the car was part of a police action it would have been moved to a police controlled lot but maybe it's different based on where you live.

Value will depend on the fiberglass body. I've seen them around South Georgia for $2000 in running condition, but with bad bodies. The engines are pretty durable. Without any major body work I'd offer $500, you can always find someone who would take it off your hands for that much and you would not be out anything if the project got too big.

Offer $200. Then sell for $500. ;p

Problem with a lot of these cars is what you CAN'T see. Frame rust etc. I used to deal with it when I played around with the old Camaros.
