rottery is it worth it

i could tell .. its easy to spot a car thats been rotary polished .. way more glossy

I don't agree, at least not completely. I would agree only to the point that you can do a more effective job of removing deeper defects, but you also have the added risk of marring from the tool itself. Personally, I never use a rotary to do my finish work; I always go back over it with a light polish and the PC, and THEN it looks its glossiest.

So ... which one is faster? Is that now the question if both can do the job?
Seems like the rotary is more efficient.

I can work a car over with a PC faster as I can hold that one with one hand and the product in the other and keep moving....The rotary on the other side I have to stop lay product down then start back up....also clean the pad if it starts to garb....However if I am polishing or using SWR I like the rotary and could careless about the time that it takes its the end result that I am looking at

Agreed -- when we're talking about how fast I can get done with one pass around an entire vehicle. On the other hand, if my goal is to remove as many defects as possible, the rotary is MUCH faster than the PC is, simply because it's that much more aggressive. And, if comparing the same product/pad combination, polishes work down quicker/in fewer passes with a rotary than a PC.
