Rotten Smell...........

Hey guys just wondering if any of you could help me out??? A customer of mine left a tomato under the passenger seat of a brand new lexus 350 for a week while she went out of town... The tomato rotted and the heat here has just made the smell 100x worse. Any idea on how to get rid of the smell?

Thanks, Will

An ozone generator is the easiest and best solution. If you do not have access to that, an odor bomb should help. Remember, you have to remove as much of the source of the odor as possible for it to be effective.

brwill2005 is right. You should definitely focus on the area where the tomato was. Use lots of carpet cleaner and let it dwell. Scrub furiously, and suck with a wet-vac.

As for the rest of the car, maybe an air freshener with actual bacteria-killing power would work? I'm not too sure.

get a enzyme type cleaner...it will attack the bacteria causing the odor....it may take 2 washes.....I have used enzyme cleaners to take urine smell out and to never return....look at Home depot or lowes or any janitorial supply....

They do sell some at the Petco ..Petzyme..or Natures Miracle....but do not know how they work...

Also any good rug store may have it....I think the one I got was Bio clean..works very good....
