Rotarys with Quick Trigger

Hello guys...This may have been covered already but I am at work and don't have a lot of time to search, so if this has been covered please forgive me. I am looking for a list of different rotary polishers and their types of triggers (soft start vs. quick response). I like quick response personally, but have a Chicago Electric with soft start, and could get used to it, but wonder about other brands with quick response triggers. I want one of each type. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I for one would not want a rotary with a quick start. I do not like the sensation of polish being splashed all over and sometimes in my face.

Hey there Zippy! When I started out with a rotary (think it was a Black & Decker way back when), I had a bit of trouble with splatter. but I soon realized what I had to do to get it under control. I'm still not perfect with a quick trigger, but I like to "feather" the trigger at times. I can do that with a soft start polisher as well, but I guess I just really got used to having the quick response. Thanks for responding though, I appreciate it!

The dewalt has the quick trigger, Makita has the soft.



For me it doesn't matter so much because I don't turn the buffer off until i'm done with a panel. I don't buff a panel all at once either, I do it section by section.
